Director Bio:

Kate Phillips has studied filmmaking in various programs at The Guthrie Center in Houston, TX, The University of Texas at Austin, Chapman University and the Sundance Students at the Festival Program. She has directed numerous shorts, including the award-winning The Catalyst. She has worked in the film industry for years from Texas to New Zealand. Extremely passionate about film, Kate aspires to direct features which essentially tell great and imaginative stories. She is currently studying the folkloric and mythological tradition and the role storytelling has taken in the creation of national identities.
