Ancient Geography

Maps, mountains, monuments: all in a day’s work!

Meeting #5

Posted By Ranjani on October 11, 2007 – 4:16 pm

Hey guys! On Tuesday, October 16th, we’ll be covering the nitty gritty of the Forum Romanum. A lot of questions about the city of Rome have to do with this area (but they could also be about hills and bridges). I don’t expect you to know all of the imperial forums just yet, but for a start, I’d like you guys to be familiar with at least one temple or landmark in each of the imperial forums.

I’ll probably make a presentation of some form for either Tuesday or Thursday of that week, and we can start talking about cool monuments — depends on how the weekend goes, though!

Meeting #3

Posted By Ranjani on September 21, 2007 – 4:11 pm

Okay, hopefully my Latin I’s are reading this. On Tuesday, September 25th, be ready to start learning about Rome! I have lots of packets and lots of maps, and we’re going to have a lot of fun. We just have to get started.

Also, if any of you guys are reading this, I’d love to have your e-mail addresses. Leave comments!

First meeting!

Posted By Ranjani on September 17, 2007 – 5:00 pm

Hey guys! The first meeting will be Tuesday, September 18th — or, tomorrow. We’re going to discuss the tests you’ll be taking, the way I teach, cool games we’ll play, and I’ll get to know a little bit about you. I’d also like to know when the best time to meet with you guys would be.

I won’t be handing out any packets today, but at the next meeting, we’re going to dive right into the fun stuff! I can’t wait <( ^_^ )>

Welcome to your category!

Hey kiddies! I’m Ranjani, the mystical and magical! If you’re interested in my category, Ancient Geography (the study of molecular awesomeness), we’ll be having a meeting on both Tuesday and Thursday of next week — September 18th and September 20th. Be prepared to learn on Thursday! We’ve got a lot to learn, but you’ll have lots of fun learning it! I’m also a firm believer in the healing power of games.

If you lose assignments or miss meetings, a short overview and relevant materials will be available from this page. Download them and study <( ^_^ )>

Did I mention that there will be yummies from time to time? Of course I did! Yummies!
